Toyota Innova Crysta ZX Wheel Downsized From 17-Inch To 16-Inch — Here Is Why

Toyota has officially dropped the 17-inch wheels for the 16-inch on the Innova Crysta ZX variant. The ZX is the top variant of the new Innova Crysta, now the MPV will come with 16-inch wheels across the range.

The company has updated its official page with the changes reflecting 16-inch wheels as standard across all the variants. Earlier the Innova Crysta ZX variant came with 17-inch alloy wheels with tyres profile of 215/ 55.

These large 17-inch wheels and low profile tyres does not help aid the ride quality. The MPV is known for its comfort-oriented features, the low profile tyres and bigger wheels was not a practical option.

The Innova Crysta now comes with modest 205/ 65 profile tyres with 16-inch wheels. The change to smaller wheels will improve the ride quality of the top end variant and cheaper to replace as well.

Also, the new 205/ 65 profile tyres' sidewall will be thicker so the wheels will be less prone to damage.

The Innova Crysta ZX variant is the top-end variant with theautomatic gearbox as standard in the petrol version and the diesel model has the choice of either the 5-speed manual of the 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The Innova Crysta ZX variants has the choice of two engines in diesel version: 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre engines. While the 2.4-litre mill develops 148bhp and 343Nm of torque, the 2.8-litre engine produces 172bhp and 360Nm of torque.

The petrol version of the Innova Crysta ZX model is powered by the 2.7-litre engine churning out 164bhp and 245Nm of torque.
