Toyota Fortuner Receives Tremendous Response; Garners 10,000 Bookings In Two Months
The new Toyota Fortuner has received over 10,000 bookings and the carmaker is busy ensuring deliveries are made on time.
The new Toyota Fortuner was no doubt a much anticipated launch for the Japanese company, and the adrenaline continues as the SUV has received over 10,000 bookings in two months.
Deliveries of the new Toyota Fortuner started soon after the launch, back in November 2016, and the carmaker has delivered over 5,000 units already.
The new Fortuner commands a waiting period of two to three months once booked, and Toyota is focused on ensuring timely delivery to customers.
The new Toyota Fortuner was launched in November 2016, with a hoist of cosmetic and mechanical updates. The SUV has shed its boxy design for a modern look, and the SUV is now available with a choice of two engines.
The first engine is a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel unit that makes 174bhp and 420Nm of peak torque. The diesel powered Fortuner is offered with a 4x4 configuration and an automatic gearbox is optional.
The second engine on offer is a 2.7-litre petrol engine that makes 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. The petrol variant of the Fortuner too, is offered with a choice of either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
We had a chance to take the Toyota Fortuner off-road and put the SUV through some of the most difficult terrain and the Fortuner passed with flying colours.
The Fortuner is good SUV, but if you are in the market to buy a vehicle and are looking for something a bit family oriented, the Innova Crysta is a good choice. Do take a look at the image gallery below.
