The Toyota Fortuner could see a reduction in cost once GST comes into effect. The Fortuner could see a price decrease by almost Rs 1,20,000.
Owing to GST, Mercedes-Benz and BMW have announced a reduction in price, giving customers a chance to own a vehicle of their choice.
The Toyota Fortuner is a key player in the premium SUV segment, closely followed by the Ford Endeavour. The Toyota Fortuner has led the particular segment since its launch.
Toyota gave the Fortuner a fresh look last year, equipping the SUV with a 2.8-litre diesel engine that produces 177bhp and 450Nm of torque. Toyota also offers a 2.7-litre petrol engine on the Fortuner that makes 166bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The diesel version of the Fortuner comes with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional 6-speed automatic option, while the petrol variant comes with a standard 5-speed gearbox and an optional 6-speed automatic.
The Fortuner is sold in two drivetrains, two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive, while the petrol version of the new Fortuner is restricted to two-wheel-drive only.
