Jaguar Land Rover Engines Worth $3.7 Million Stolen From Factory
Thieves have managed to steal engines from the Jaguar Land Rover plant worth $3.7 million, and police are on the lookout.
Seems like a scene straight out of a movie — thieves stole engines worth $3.7 million from the Jaguar Land Rover factory in the UK. What's more interesting is that the thieves made two trips to the factory to steal the goodies.
In an official statement, Jaguar Land Rover has said: "We can confirm that we are working closely with West Midlands Police to investigate the theft of engines from the Solihull manufacturing plant."
"A reward is on offer to anyone who has information which leads to the successful recovery of these engines. It would be inappropriate for us to make any further comment whilst this investigation is ongoing."
As reported by the media, thieves made it past the security camera, hitched the trailer with the engines onto a truck and drove away. They then came back, hitched another trailer and got away, without even breaking a sweat.
Jaguar Land Rover has not revealed what kind of engines or details regarding the theft. The police have issued a statement saying: "An articulated truck is believed to have entered the site twice, each time hooking up to trailers carrying the engines and then leaving again through the gate."
Jaguar Land Rover do make irresistible vehicles, and the Range Rover Sport, as seen in the image gallery below is a prime example.
