Tesla To Take Superchargers Off Electricity Grid

Tesla will take superchargers off electricity grid and replace it with solar or battery power, Elon Musk tweeted.

Tesla wants its extensive Supercharger network to be powered by solar or batteries and eventually disconnecting from the electric grid, which is still mostly powered by natural gas and coal.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk isn't one to take criticism easily, especially when it's directed at his main company's core value: environmentalism. And that's the reason he revealed a potentially important piece of information in response to a tweet questioning the cleanliness of Tesla vehicles.
