Tesla Model 3 Production Could Be Delayed By Strike Threats
The production of the Tesla Model 3 could be delayed with the threats of strike from one of the employee union. Read more to know more about this issue.
Tesla Model 3 is one of the much-anticipated cars from the stable of American EV maker. But the production of the Model 3 could be delayed amidst threats of a strike in Germany.
A subsidiary of the American automaker, Tesla Advanced Automation Germany has about 660 employees under its payroll. As per the employees union, IG Metall, the workers get 30 percent less than the union pay scale.
The difference in the pay is about 268 dollars, more than what they are receiving now. Tesla has proposed an increase in pay by 160 dollars per month. But the union is demanding a hike of around 428 dollars per month.
As per reports Tesla even promised an additional compensation program through its TSLA stocks. But the union was not happy with the proposed offer. And this situation is not looking good for the launch of Model 3.
The union representatives are planning to organise a strike shortly. Since the facility is manufacturing several components for the Model 3, the production of the car might be interrupted by the strike.
