Tata Tigor First Month Performance Almost Equals Tiago — Does Tata Have A Winner On Its Hands?

Indian automaker Tata Motors recently launched the Tigor subcompact sedan in the Indian market. It's the third product from the Impact Design language, and the car has received a positive response from the customers.

Tata Motors has delivered 3011 units of Tigor since its launch, and sold 3022 units. With the launch of Tigor in India. The company has three subcompact sedan under its product portfolio. The other two sedans are, Indigo and Zest.

Speaking to ETAuto, President - Passenger Vehicles Segment, Mayank Pareek said, "Our expectation is that anyone who is looking to buy a subcompact sedan should consider Tigor. After that, we are confident that customers will buy."

The Tigor is offered in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre three cylinder Revotron petrol engine producing 83bhp and 114Nm of torque.

The Diesel variant of the Tigor draws power from a 1.05-litre three cylinder Revotorq engine churning out 69bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Tata Tigor comes loaded with features such as Harman music system, touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted control and comfortable seats. The car is equipped with safety features dual front airbags, ABS and EBD.

The base variant of the Tigor is priced at 4.70 lakh. The subcompact sedan from Tata Motors takes on its segment rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and Volkswagen Ameo.
