Tata Tiago electric vehicle to be revealed in September 2017. Home grown automaker had hinted about its plans to introduce a Tiago electric vehicle during their financial results announcements in May 2017.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, UK-based Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC), announced the date for the showcase of the Tiago EV.

Through a tweet, TMETC commented on the LCV2017 (a low carbon vehicle event scheduled in Millbrook, UK, on September 6-7, 2017) with a post: "Not long until we showcase our Tiago EV! The countdown is on..."

Tata Motors has been developing battery powered electric vehicles with TMETC leading the project. The Tiago EV is expected to borrow massively from the Bolt BEV prototype, the electric version of the Bolt hatchback.
The company has not revealed the specifications of the Tata Tiago EV, but we expect it to be efficient and to cost lower, knowing Tata Motors have always relied on low-cost vehicles.
