Here's Tata Nexon's Launch Details Before You're Suppose To Know It
Tata Motors confirmed a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel mill for Nexon and would launch in India in October; however, the petrol variant is expected to be a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit.
Tata Motors is all set to launch its subcompact sedan Tigor by the end of March 2017. The company's next launch in the pipeline is the Nexon, and the compact SUV will be launched in India during the festive season in October 2017.
The Nexon enters the sub-four-meter SUV segment that has demonstrated to be highly productive lately, so with a festive launch, Tata would be expecting to push large volumes of the Nexon right from the start.
The Nexon is one of Tata's most important vehicle which, along with Tiago and Tigor, could help boost their market share.
The Tata Nexon caters to the sub-four-metre SUV space where Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport are leading performers.
Although the Nexon is late to enter the market, the new Impact design philosophy of the compact SUV is anticipated to draw more customers.
The top-of-the-line model will feature projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, foglamps, gloss black finish for the wide grille, and LED powered taillamps.
As for the interiors, it comprises automatic climate control with rear AC vents and infotainment system with a dash-top touchscreen along with voice command recognition.
On the safety front, the Nexon will be equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, ISOFIX mounts and a rear-view camera.
As for the powertrains, the Nexon will come with a 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine mated to 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol unit is expected to be a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit.
Tata is expected to price the Nexon in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Tata Motors revealed its first sports car at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the RaceMo, below is an extensive photo gallery, click to view.
