The most anticipated MPV from the stable of Tata Motors, the Hexa is due to launch next week on January 18, 2017. It will be interesting to see how Tata Motors will go with the pricing of the Hexa.
But now, the price of the Hexa has been leaked through Tata Motors' official website. Yes, the Hexa's website has revealed the pricing of the new multi utility vehicle.
On the website, under the test drive tab, it displayed that ‘Price starts at Rs 12.30 lakhs'. But Tata Motors has now changed the text on the website. It seems like a human error or a technical glitch which caused the price leak.
The Hexa will be offered in six variants across nine trims. The MPV is available in 6 and 7-seater configuration. Once launched, the Hexa will be the flagship model of Tata Motors.
Tata Hexa is powered by 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine which will be available in two tune options. The Varicor 300 engine develops 148bhp and 320Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearbox.
On the other hand, the Varicor 400 engine churns out 154bhp and 400Nm of peak torque and will be available with 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Hexa will be a tough competitor to the likes of Mahindra XUV 500, Toyota Innova Crysta, and Renault Lodgy in the Indian market.
