Skoda Octavia Facelift To Launch In June 2017
The 2017 Skoda Octavia has a new quad headlamp arrangement and a slightly revamped front grille and front bumper.
Skoda India is ready to launch the updated facelift version of Octavia in India by the month of June 2017. The facelifted version has already been revealed in the international markets. The 2017 model gets some aesthetic changes, mainly at the front.
The 2017 Skoda Octavia has a new quad headlamp arrangement and a slightly revamped front grille and front bumper. The side profile of the car gets sharp lines to make it look more aggressive and sporty. At the rear, the taillight and bumper are restyled.
Inside, the 2017 Octavia remains the same as the outgoing model, though international models feature a large 9.2-inch touchscreen, Skoda's Columbus infotainment system and a set of capacitive-touch buttons on the center console.
The India-spec version is expected to carry an updated touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphones.
The current engine lineup is expected to be carried forward unchanged. The model will continue to be offered in both petrol and diesel derivatives. The petrol engines are a 1.4-litre TSI motor and a 1.6-litre TSI motor, while the diesel variant will only have a 2.0-litre engine.
Skoda India is also bringing the faster version of the sedan, Octavia vRS in India by Diwali this year. The vRS variant will feature a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that cranks out 230bhp. The car features a more aggressive body kit and larger alloy wheels.
