Skoda Karoq Teased Ahead Of Global Debut
Skoda has teased the Karoq compact SUV in a new set of images ahead of its global debut. The headlight design, rear section and the interior has been teased.
Czech automaker Skoda has teased the Karoq compact SUV ahead of its global debut on May 18, 2017, in Stockholm. The Karoq will be slotted below the Kodiaq SUV.
The front end of the Karoq features three-dimensional design. The radiator grille is framed by chrome trim and has vertical double slats which create a trapezoidal cross section.
The headlights of the Karoq is inspired by the Bohemian glass art. The crystalline cut on the LED headlights and the eight strips looks like eyelashes. The Skoda logo sits on the bonnet.
The tail light of the Karoq also features LED technology with typical C-shape design. The tail lamp cluster includes brake light, rear light and fog light. The inner frame of the taillight is integrated into the tailgate, and the outer segment is embedded to the side frame.
The interior of the Karoq features newly designed dashboard with tall upper and narrow lower section. The large air vents are placed vertically, and the middle two sits beside the infotainment system.
The interior also features slim lighting strips located on the upper edge of the four door trims. The driver can control the brightness of the light with a selection of ten different colours. The images also reveal the 7-speed DSG gearbox and all-wheel-drive as optional equipment.
The compact SUV from Skoda will be launched in the second half of 2017, and it is likely to enter India at the same time. The Karoq will replace the Yeti in the Indian market, with the latter being recently discontinued.
