Renault Kaptur Spied Testing In India
Renault is working on its new SUV, the Kaptur. The two new SUVs were spied testing in India and the Kaptur is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2017.
Renault India is working on its new premium SUV, the Kaptur and the vehicle has been undergoing testing in the country for a while now.
Now, the Renault Kaptur has been spotted testing in Ooty by CarToq . There were two SUVs on the test, both diesel variants. One model was a top of the line variant, whereas the other one was a entry-level trim.
The top-end variant of the Kaptur features LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, leather seats and touchscreen infotainment system. The lower end model was equipped with projector headlamps and steel rims.
The Kaptur is a compact SUV which is slotted above the Duster SUV in the global market. The Kaptur is based on the BO platform which also underpins the Duster.
According to the global website of the company, the Kaptur is slightly larger than the Duster SUV. This indicates that the interior space will be similar to the Duster.
In the global market, the Kaptur is offered with a choice of a 1.6-litre or a 2-litre petrol engine. With India being a diesel market, Renault might offer a diesel motor.
The Renault Kaptur is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2017. With the premium tag, the new SUV will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and Tucson.
Suzuki has launched the third-generation 2017 Swift in the Japanese market. The new Swift will hit the Indian roads in near future. Check out the photos of the new hatchback by clicking the gallery below.
