Porsche registered its 19th victory at the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours as its rivals suffered problems. Porsche had to beat the LMP2 runners to secure its third consecutive win at the Circuit de la Sarthe.

The 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours saw only two LPM1 cars cross the chequered flag. The car number #2 of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber crossed the line first to beat the LMP2 cars.

The #38 LMP2 car of DC Racing Oreca 07 shared by Oliver Jarvis, Ho-Pin Tung and Thomas Laurent was in the lead. But the pace of the LMP2 was never enough to resist the likes of Porsche 919 Hybrid.

The car number #38 of DC Racing Oreca 07 won the LMP2 class. Completing the podium was another LMP2 car of Rebellion Oreca driven by Nelson Piquet Jr, David Heinemeier Hansson and Mathias Beche.

In the GTE Pro class, the Aston Martin Vantage of Aston Martin Racing emerged victorious after 24 hours of racing. The #67 Ford GT finished second in the GTE Pro class.
