German automaker Porsche has taken the wraps off the 911-based 911 GT2 RS at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the fastest and most powerful street-legal car ever produced. The car draws power from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo, flat-six engine producing 700bhp and 750Nm of torque.

The 911 GT2 RS can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.7 seconds before topping out at 340km/h. The engine is mated to a 7-speed PDK transmission.

The 911 GT2 RS also comes with the optional Weissach Package which reduces the weight of the car by 18kg. The package includes magnesium wheels and carbon fibre elements such as roof and anti-roll bars.

The interior of the 911 GT2 RS features carbon fibre trim elements and red and black accents of Alcantara leather. An optional Chrono Package adds Porsche Communication Management (PCM).

The lucky owners of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS will also receive an exclusive Porsche Design 911 GT2 RS Chronograph watch. The watch features lightweight titanium housing and carbon face.
