Pininfarina Partners Up With Hybrid Kinetic Group — Is An Electric Car On The Horizon?
Pininfarina will support Hybrid Kinetic in the development of an electric car from the concept stage to the development of the vehicle to physical validation of series production.
Pininfarina announced the signing of a trade agreement with Hybrid Kinetic Group Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and specialised in the business of electric cars.
As per the agreement, the Italian car designer firm will support Hybrid Kinetic Group in the turnkey development of an electric car from styling the concept to the development of the vehicle.
Also, the company will support Hybrid Kinetic Group in the engineering development of the vehicleand, virtual and physical validation for series production. The partnership is worth 65 million euros and will have a total duration of 46 months.
Silvio Pietro Angori, CEO of the Pininfarina Group, commented: "Hybrid Kinetic has chosen to cooperate with the Pininfarina Group thanks to the set of skills and technologies in the field of sustainable mobility that we have developed over several years. This agreement confirms the primacy of our Company in the world of automotive design, engineering and production of small series at a time of great change in the automotive world".
Recently, Pininfarina released images of its H600 luxury sedan for Hybrid Kinetic Group ahead of its debut next month at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
