The Race To The Clouds To Be Streamed Live For The Next Decade
The iconic Pikes Peak Hill Climb race will be live streamed until 2027 with the new broadcast partnership with Matchsports.
The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb has announced a long-term collaboration with Matchsports. The partnership will see the 'Race to the Clouds' streamed live until 2027.
The live stream will commence with the 95th edition of the race scheduled to take place on June 25, 2017. Previously, the race was broadcasted on a delayed basis. The challenging landscape was the main reason for the lack of live streaming of the event.
After a long search, PPIHC finally managed to find a right broadcast partner. PPIHC has been working with SBI Media, the parent company of Matchsports for the last one year. They developed a solution for the challenging Pike Peak course.
The live streaming of the iconic Pikes Peak might include the entire race from start to finish. In the first year of the partnership, the event will be live streamed using revolutionary production techniques.
On a long-term basis, PPIHC aims to attract an additional major TV network partner to assist in sharing the race. The partnership will pursue new audience to increase the coverage of the event.
The 95th iteration of the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will be the very first event on the Matchsports' IPTV.
