Original Mini Returns! Classic Car Remastered By David Brown
David Brown Automotive launched new Project 2, a re-engineered and modernised original classic Mini packaged with tech, luxury and style, limited to 100 units.
David Brown Automotive (DBA) is a British company specialising in limited edition and bespoke handcrafted modern versions of classic designs.
The company has launched the 'Project 2', a re-engineered and modernised original classic Mini packaged with tech, luxury and style, limited to 100 units.
David Brown Automotive has re-imagined the Mini with today's modern technology. While everything looks vintage, this is a modern vehicle completely.
The car, referred as the Mini Remastered, is built with new body panels, while designers smoothed out the uneven edges from the Mini of yesterday for a soft and smooth look.
DBA claims this was accomplished by de-seaming the outline design and welded with bespoke structural beams, which also supplements structural rigidity.
As for the interiors, it is a combination of modern yet retro, furnished with plenty of brushed and milled aluminium components and special handcrafted touches.
The Mini Remastered is technologically updated as well, featuring a full infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, push-button start, and remote locking.
Under the hood, the Mini Remastered's original 1,275cc four-cylinder is revised inside and out, now delivering 78bhp and the power is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox.
DBA offers a broad range of customisation including a wide selection of wheels, leather, and paint schemes including A Whiter Shade of Pale (off-white), Bad Moon Rising (light grey), and Starman (metallic blue).
Considering the claimed 1000 hours invested in each build and bespoke options, the Mini Remastered will set buyers a projected with a starting price of £50,000 (approx. Rs 40 lakh) and will be produced in very limited numbers.
