One-Off ‘Green’ Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Could Be Yours For A Price
A rare Aston Martin Vantage GT12, finished in Viridian Green is headed towards the Bonhams auction this month.
One of the most extreme and rare Aston Martin Vantages was the GT12, first introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Only 100 examples were made, and one example was finished in 'Viridian Green'.
Now, that particular Aston Martin GT12 is heading towards the Bonhams auction this month. The Viridian Green Aston Martin Vantage GT12 has a 5.9-litre V12 under the hood, enough to make 595bhp.
The naturally aspirated engine is enough to rocket the car from standstill to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and helps the Vantage reach a top speed of 298km/h. Also, the Vantage GT12 weighs just 1,565kg, thanks to generous use of carbon fibre.
The door castings and front wings are made from carbon fibre as well, and some aerodynamic improvements such as the rear wing and the front splitter increase the car's downforce, making the Vantage a more track focused car compared to a regular road version.
The interior features a centre console made of carbon fibre too, and sports seats wrapped in Alcantara. A new Vantage GT12 costs $3,85,000, but a car that has done under 30km from brand new is expected to fetch between $4,50,000 to $5,20,000 at the auction.
