Nissan Builds One-Of-A-Kind "Predzilla" GT-R For Nashville Predators Foundation
Nissan built a special GT-R nicknamed "Predzilla" which will be auctioned to benefit the Nashville Predators Foundation.
Nissan announced the donation of a specially created 2017 Nissan GT-R supercar to the Nashville Predators Foundation, which supports a variety of local Nashville charities.
The Nissan "Predzilla" GT-R began its life as a GT-R Premium model, before receiving a custom paint job featuring the Preds' official colours and graphics.
The "Predzilla" GT-R will be the main attraction in an upcoming Predators Foundation fundraising auction; potential buyers can start bidding by either texting "Nissan" to 52182 or visit www.nissan.gesture.com.
Along with the special "Predzilla" GT-R, the winning bidder will also get two 2017-2018 season tickets and a parking pass for the Sixth Avenue Garage.
Apart from the custom paint job the special GT-R also has blue wheels, a blue rear spoiler, and lots of Nissan badging.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R Premium is powered by a 565bhp twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 powertrain with 633Nm of torque along with a titanium exhaust system.
The engine comes paired to an advanced paddle-shifted sequential 6-speed dual clutch gearbox and unique independent rear transaxle all-wheel-drive system.
The engines of GT-R are hand-assembled by specially trained technicians known as Takumi, a process comparable to that adopted to construct racing powerplants.
"Nissan is proud to call the great city of Nashville home for our North American headquarters - and we are thrilled that our hometown Predators have come so far this season," said José Muñoz, chief performance officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.; chairman, Nissan North America, Inc.'
He added, "This supercar is dedicated to Nashville and Predators fans all over the world. We hope it raises a lot of awareness and funds for the work of the Predators Foundation."
Predators President and Chief Executive Officer Sean Henry said, "Today, Nissan is making the largest one-time contribution to the Nashville Predators Foundation and with that, giving one lucky bidder the opportunity to show off their Preds Pride every time they drive Predzilla,"
He further said, "Not only is this one-of-a-kind car going to be the envy around Smashville, but it will also benefit many local charitable and community service organisations through the winning bid. With Nissan's support for our community and passion for our team, we get to reach thousands of more individuals all across Tennessee."
