Skoda To Introduce A Powerful Version Of The Octavia RS At Geneva
Skoda will launch the most powerful Octavia RS model at the Geneva Motor Show, called the RS 245.
The Skoda Octavia RS is a powerful car, but the folks at Skoda though they can extract some more power out of an everyday car. The result — Skoda Octavia RS 245.
Based on the Skoda Octavia RS, the 245 derives its name from the power it generates — 245PS, 15PS more than the Octavia RS. Power will be derived from a 2.0-litre TFSI (turbocharged) petrol engine, and the RS 245 makes 20Nm of extra torque compared to the RS 230.
The Octavia RS 245 will be available as a wagon as well as a sedan, and will be equipped with a standard "electronically controlled differential front axle lock", to assist dynamic cornering.
The new Octavia RS 245 will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds, and will be able to reach a top speed of 250km/h.
For the interior, the new Skoda RS 245 will come with a 9.2-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Octavia RS 245 will make its public debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
