2017 Porsche 911 GTS Revealed With New Engine And More Models
The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS has been revealed and will go on sale in March. The naturally aspirated 3.8-litre engine has been replaced by a turbocharged engine.
The facelifted Porsche 911 GTS has been revealed. The 911 GTS is now available in five models: Carrera GTS, Carrera Cabriolet GTS, Carrera 4 GTS, Carrera 4 Cabriolet GTS, and Targa 4 GTS.
All the new Porsche 911 GTS variants are powered by a brand new 3.0-litre turbocharged flat-six engine, which replaces the previous 3.8-litre naturally aspirated powerplant.
The all-new 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat six engine produces 444bhp and 549Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a seven-speed manual or a PDK dual-clutch gearbox.
The Carrera 4 GTS is the fastest-accelerating model with a 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds. The top speed of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is 312km/h.
The new GTS variants are fitted with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard, which lowers the car by 10mm (the Coupe versions are lowered by an extra 10mm). Also standard is the Sport Chrono pack which adds dynamic engine mounts and a sports exhaust.
Design wise, the GTS variants a unique front bumper, modified rear spoiler, darkened tail lamp lenses, a blackened air intake grille, centrally-mounted black tailpipes and GTS logos within the lower part of the doors.
All-wheel-drive variants get a light trim strip connecting the taillights while rear-wheel-drive variants get a black trim strip.
Inside, the new GTS versions of the 911, the seats feature GTS logos on the headrests and along with the steering wheel, armrests and centre console are all trimmed in Alcantara. The instrument cluster features aluminium trim strips.
Prices for the new 911 GTS range start at €128,139 (Rs 92.24lakh) for the Carrera GTS and go all the way up to €148,951 (Rs 1.07 crore) for the Targa 4 variant.
