The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS was expected to be revealed at a major international auto show; however, Porsche chose the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3.
Porsche took the unique step of having its new range-topping 911 GT2 RS revealed at the games show, as the new 911 GT2 RS, touted as the most powerful 911 ever, will be hero car on the cover of Forza Motorsport 7.
While no technical details revealed; however, according to The Verge, the new 911 GT2 RS will be powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo flat-six churning out 644bhp and 750Nm of torque and the power will be sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and an electronically controlled centre locking differential.
With those power figures, the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in under 3 seconds and 0 - 200km/h in less than 9 seconds.
The Porsche GT2 RS will employ larger turbos, more boost, a titanium exhaust, and a water-injection system. Also, the car will reportedly feature race car-derived suspension, rear-wheel steering, Gorilla Glass windows, and 20-inch alloy wheels up front and 21-inch rims at the rear.
