The seventh-generation BMW 5 Series is all set to launch in India in 2017; here are the key updates you should know.
The all-new 2017 BMW 5 Series is the seventh-generation of the luxury sedan. Nearly 7.6 million BMW 5 Series have been sold worldwide since 1972. While the current-generation 5 Series is comfortable and luxurious, the next-generation is better equipped and smarter.
Here are key updates on the new BMW 5 Series you should know:
1. Featured Loaded
BMW has updated the next-generation 5 Series similar to the 7 Series, including gesture control, fully-digital instrument cluster, adaptive driving modes, the latest iDrive system, a high-resolution infotainment system, and a remote parking function where the driver guides the car forward standing outside the car.
2. New Interiors
The new 5 Series seats are fitted with high-quality genuine leather and equipped with comfortable, supportive seats in the front and back. The front seats are equipped with memory, while the rear seats offer ample space and comfort.
3. Three Engine Options
The India-bound BMW 5 Series will be available with three engine options - the 255bhp straight-six diesel motor (530d), the 189bhp four-cylinder diesel unit (520d) and the 251bhp four-cylinder petrol engine (530i).
4. Price
The new BMW 5 Series is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 65 lakh ex-showroom with the 530i being the base variant.
