Now, a latest crash test conducted by the Centre For Pet Safety has revealed that most restraints sold in the market fail to protect your pets during an accident or a crash. 29 products were tested and 25 of them failed, in one way or another.

Lindsey Wolkom, the CEO of Centre For Pet Safety told Today: "Pet owners should be screaming about this. If you get into an accident and one of these products fails, it puts you, your family members and it puts other drivers on the road at risk."

The CEO said, "Pet products are not defined as consumer products by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, so they bypass any kind of any oversight or regulation."
