2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Facelift Leaked Ahead Of Its Premiere
The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer (Grand Lancer) facelift reveals new fascia both at the front and rear, along with changes to the interiors.
Remember the erstwhile Mitsubishi Lancer? The only other sedan in India with racing pedigree apart from the Honda City. The Lancer was known for its prowess in rallying in India. Capable of taking podiums every time the Lancer was put to the test.
Well, the Lancer Evolution model came to its end, and the company put a lid on the future of the sedan. However, there is a new Lancer coming; and its leaked ahead of its debut. The changes are merely a facelift with changes to the front and rear fascia as well as interiors.
Mitsubishi is continuing the moniker 'Lancer' in the form of Grand Lancer and is Taiwan particular model. The changes on the new Lancer might not be the best, but the overall proportion is right.
The photos revealed by Keyauto.my shows the 2017 Lancer with Mitsubishi's new, abundant chrome finished front profile; the rear profile is a lot more progressive.
As for the interiors, the dashboard has been redesigned, along with 10.2-inch all digital instrument panel; three spoke multi-functional steering wheel, along with reverse parking camera assist.
The infotainment system is an 8-inch touchscreen which is optional on the new Lancer. Also, the door panels are new, so is the gear shifter.
Mitsubishi is offering seven airbags, body dynamic stability system, tracking anti-skid system, steep start assist, emergency brake warning system, accident warning system among others.
Powering the 2017 Lancer is a 1.8-litre MIVEC petrol engine churning out 138bhp and 176Nm of torque, while the motor comes paired to a CVT automatic gearbox.
The new Grand Lancer is all set to launch on April 6, 2017. Stay tuned to DriveSpark for the complete details.
