AMG Kicks Off 50th Birthday Celebrations — Reveals Limited Run Trio
Mercedes-AMG has revealed three new limited edition models for the Geneva Motor Show to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Mercedes-AMG will celebrate its 50th Birthday at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show with three new special edition cars.
The three new 50th Anniversary Edition vehicles are the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50, the C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition, and the C43 Coupe & C43 Cabriolet Night Edition.
All three cars feature distinct paint jobs and design tweaks and trim combinations and feature more standard equipment than the regular cars.
Leading the 50th birthday charge from AMG is the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50, which like its hardtop sibling is limited to a production run of 500 units.
The AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 sports two unique paint finishes: Grey Magno and Design Cashmere white. The soft top roof features darkened chromed exterior elements and the forged alloy wheels also sport a dark finish.
Inside, AMG continues with the contrasting black and silver theme with the leather seats mostly in the darker shade with silver inserts in the centre as well as silver seatbelts. The dash is also done up in silver while the steering wheel spokes, shift paddles and door sill panels are all in black.
The second car of the birthday trio is the C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition, which will be limited to just 150 units. Available in both C63 and C 63 S guises, the new car features a blue fabric roof.
The front bumper, the rear diffuser and the wheel caps of the 19 and 20-inch wheel options also sport the same blue colour. The C63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition is available in two paint finishes: design cashmere white magno and design selenite grey magno.
The third and final car of AMG celebratory trio is the C43 Night Edition which is available in both coupe and cabriolet forms. The C43 Night Edition sports AMG's diamond grille along with black trim strips on the front splitter, side sills and rear valance panel.
The C43 Night Edition cars sit on matte black 19-inch alloy wheels with high-gloss rim flanges.
