McLaren's New Rotating Driver Display Is For The Racer In You
McLaren's 'Folding Driver Display' is built around two separate high-definition screens; a Folding Driver Display and a Central Infotainment Touchscreen.
McLaren has installed a brilliant trick in its new supercar that's being unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show: the Folding Driver Display.
Mclaren's engineers designed a new instrument cluster which physically moves to let the driver choose between two different screens. This new "Folding Driver Display" includes aluminium switches that enable it to turn.
In the Full Display Mode, the display will provide the driver with all of the general information such as current gear, speed, and engine RPMs.
In the Slim Display Mode, the display will rotate down and back when the driver puts the car into track mode, showing only the relevant information in a thin strip. McLaren says this is perfect for drivers who want a limited distraction and their information in the simplest form possible.

McLaren is known for their technology on their supercars. One such supercar is the McLaren 675LT Spider. Below is the photo gallery of the car, click to view.
