McLaren Considering Four Seat GT Supercar

McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt indicates a 2+2 GT configuration would be considered; however, a four-door McLaren including SUV and crossovers is out of the question.

McLaren's product range could expand to include a four-seater, according to CEO Mike Flewitt. Speaking to Auto Express at the 2017 Auto Shanghai, the Mclaren boss revealed that a four-seat McLaren is something his company is considering; however, he ruled out a four-door model: "I can see four seats, but not four doors."

He added that it could be either Sports Series or Ultimate Series and he could see the GT moving in that direction if it could have at least a four-seat layout.

In the meantime, the new McLaren 720S launched in Geneva is drawing record numbers of sales. McLaren boss revealed to AutoExpress that 1,400 orders which means the car is already sold out for 2017.
