IT Capital Receives India's First Maserati Levante
Ahead of India launch, Bengaluru has received India's first Maserati Levante premium SUV.
Bengaluru, India's IT Capital, has received the country's first ever Maserati Levante ahead of its official launch. The company is yet to launch its first SUV in India, but someone in Bengaluru has already imported the premium SUV, thanks to Automobili Ardent for the image.
Maserati Levante was first unveiled as a concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and was later on launched in 2016 at the Geneva Auto Show. This particular Levante is finished in Blu Passione Mica colour which is a rich shade of blue.
Maserati has named the premium SUV after a warm Mediterranean wind; the Levante is based on the same platform that underpins the Quattroporte and the Ghibli.
The Maserati Levante boasts of a perfect balanced weight distribution (50:50) between the front and the rear.
The Levante has the trademark Neptune spear on the front grille sided by sharp headlamps with DRLs. While the side profile receives racy vents on the front quarter panel, the rear gets a protruding profile with twin exhausts.
The Maserati Levante boasts of few highlights such as 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, climate control, adaptive cruise control, surround view camera, powered tailgate among others.
Safety wise, the Levante is equipped with blind spot alert, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and hill decent control.
Maserati offers Sport and Luxury packages which let the customer buyer customise their Levante both on the exterior and interiors.
Globally, the Maserati Levante is available with two powertrains: a 3.0-litre petrol engine and a 3.0-litre diesel unit. The petrol motor is offered in two states of tunes: 350bhp with 500Nm of torque and 430bhp and 580Nm of torque.
The 0-100km/h sprint from the petrol stands at 6 seconds and 5.2 seconds for the 350bhp and 430bhp engines respectively.
The diesel engine develops 275bhp and 600Nm of torque which enables the SUV to sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds.
The Maserati Levante rivals the likes of Porsche Cayenne, Audi SQ7 as well as the Range Rover Discovery.
