Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Garners A Whopping 2 Lakh Bookings In 11 Months
Maruti Suzuki's successful compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza has achieved another milestone, it has garnered a whopping 2 lakh bookings in just 11 months.
India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki launched its compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza in March 2016. The compact SUV has been a great success in the Indian market.
Now the Vitara Brezza has achieved one more milestone, the compact SUV has garnered a whopping 2 lakh bookings since 11 months of its launch. Although Maruti Suzuki was late to the party of compact SUVs, Brezza is selling like hot cakes.
The Brezza is offered only in diesel variant, whereas its segment rivals such as Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300 are offered in both petrol and diesel variants.
Despite this drawbacks, the Vitara Brezza took the compact SUV segment by storm. It is clocking a monthly average sale of 9,000 units which is limited because of manufacturing constraints.
It's been almost a year since the launch of Brezza, but still, the compact SUV has a strong demand with waiting period up to seven months depending on the variant.
The Vitara Brezza also won the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2017 award in December by beating its rivals such as Hyundai Tucson and Toyota Innova Crysta. It is the first product to be completely developed in India by Maruti Suzuki's R&D team.
The Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3-litre DDis diesel engine producing 88.5bhp and 200Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The compact SUV is priced in the range of Rs 7.19 lakh to 9.88 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Suzuki has revealed the 2017 Swift and the hot hatchback will be launched in the Indian market in the near future. Check out the detailed photos of the hatchback by clicking the gallery below.
