Maruti Brezza Still Has A Huge Number Of Pending Bookings
Maruti Brezza has 45,000 pending bookings as of January 2017 with a waiting period of 6 to 7 months depending on the variants.
Maruti Suzuki, India's largest carmaker has been riding high on the success of the Vitara Brezza compact SUV sales. However, the company is struggling with the long waiting period.
The Brezza has 45,000 pending bookings as of January 2017 with a waiting period of 6 to 7 months depending on the variants. The waiting period for the Brezza could reduce as Baleno's production has shifted to Suzuki Motors' Gujarat plant, inaugurated two weeks back.
Maruti Suzuki on an average manufactures 9,000 to 10,000 units of Vitara Brezza and 12,000 to 14,000 units of Baleno every month.
Since the launch of the Maruti Brezza in March 2016, the company has sold 90,000 units until January 2017. With average sales of 9,000 to 10,000 units of Brezza produced, the compact SUV could very well become the fastest SUV to touch one lakh sales milestone in 11 months of its launch.
The Maruti Brezza is available in four variants: LDi, VDi, VDi+, ZDi and ZDi+. The Brezza is available only as a diesel model.
Maruti Suzuki has powered the Vitara Brezza with the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 four-cylinder diesel engine producing 88.50bhp and 200Nm of torque. This motor paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox sends power to the front wheels.
The Maruti Brezza prices start from Rs 7.26 lakh to Rs 9.92 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
