Maruti Swift India Launch Details Revealed — Three More New Cars On The Way
Out of the four, Maruti Suzuki will launch two new vehicles, and two will be upgrades.
Maruti Suzuki, India's largest carmaker is all set to launch four new products in 2017-18. The company has been introducing about two new products each year in the past couple of years.
The Indo-Japanese car maker is accelerating the launches with a focus to strengthen its hold on the Indian market. Out of the four, Maruti Suzuki will launch two new vehicles, and two will be upgrades.
The company will launch the third-generation Swift, which was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, in India mid-2018.
Maruti is also readying the upgraded version of the premium crossover S-Cross later this year.
Maruti Suzuki India Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) R S Kalsi said, "We had earlier announced that we would bring 15 models by 2020. We have done eight so far. As part of the plan, in the next fiscal, we will have four launches,"
The company has been growing and is aiming to have 50 percent market share, up from the current 47 percent.
Kalsi said, "We have been growing at a good rate in the past five years and next fiscal, we are sure of double-digit growth."
