Maruti Suzuki Ignis Spotted At Dealerships Ahead Of Its Indian Launch
Maruti Suzuki Ignis reaches dealerships ahead of its launch which is scheduled on January 13.
Maruti Suzuki is all geared up to launch its first compact crossover, the Ignis in India on January 13. But just two days before its much-anticipated launch in Delhi, the Ignis has already arrived at certain dealerships.
A freshset of images of the urban crossover at a dealer stockyard was posted on the internet by Team-BHP and the variant revealed in the images seems to be the top-of-line Ignis. The booking for the new vehicle already commenced on January 1 and the waiting period has already reached up to 12 weeks.
The waiting period for the petrol variants has a waiting period of 8 weeks, while the diesel variants stand at up to 12 weeks. The Ignis will the third model to be sold exclusively through Maruti's NEXA dealership outlet.
The Ignis crossover will be powered by a 1.2-litre K12B petrol engine that churns out 82bhp of power and 113Nm of peak torque, and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor that produces 74bhp of power and 190Nm of peak torque.
Both the oil burners will be mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. The urban crossover will be available in four trim levels which are the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and the top-of-the-line, Alpha.
Speaking about the exterior, the new model from Maruti Suzuki has a boxy design. It also features projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, a honeycomb front grille and big bumpers at both ends. Overall, the Ignis looks very premium than other cars in its segment.
Inside, the vehicle sports a large touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, Suzuki remote app report, automatic climate control and more. Maruti Suzuki also offers the Ignis with airbags with ABS and reverse parking sensors as standard.
