Online Booking For Maruti Suzuki Ignis Is Now Open; Booking Amount Revealed
Ahead of the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, online bookings are open for Rs 11,000.
Maruti Suzuki's first major launch of 2017 is the premium urban compact vehicle, Ignis, it will be the third addition to the exclusive Nexa line-up. The Ignis can be booked through the Nexa website with a booking amount of Rs 11,000.
The introduction of the Ignis has created the anticipation in the Indian automobile market as the car is being categorised as a new segment. The Ignis has been developed keeping the ‘Millennials' in mind, the Millennials are people born in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The Ignis is aretro looking vehicle yet loaded with urban features. The Ignis is built keeping its crossover image and is evident with its ground clearance at 180m, large wheel arches with plastic cladding and a distinctive front and rear end.
The tall-boy hatch styled Ignis is all set to be launched on January 13, 2017, and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5 to 6.5 lakh ex-showroom. Maruti Suzuki has designed the Ignis with a global outlook to make the Ignis look modern.
The Maruti Ignis features some of the first-in-segment features like LED headlights and DRLs, new steering wheel design, and is built on a new platform unlike the Swift, DZire or the Ertiga.
Maruti Suzuki is offering the Ignis in 14 different variants across both petrol and diesel models and has five body colours to choose from: Pearl White, Silky Silver, Glistening Grey, Uptown Red, Tinsel Blue, and Urban Blue.
As the Maruti Ignis is offered through the company's exclusive outlet Nexa, the car will come with standard fitments such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorages and pedestrian protection.
Both AMT and manual gearbox choices are being offered on the Ignis though the base and top variants do not come with the choice of AMT.
As for the power for the Ignis, the petrol unit is a 1.2-litre VVT producing 81.8bhp and 113Nm of torque, while the diesel unit is a 1.3-litre DDiS engine producing 74bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. The mileage of the Ignis petrol is 20.89km/l and diesel motor returns a mileage of 26.80km/l.
