But the base variant Sigma still misses out on the automatic gearbox. The fully loaded variant of the Baleno features projector headlamps, LED DRLs and reverse parking camera.
Apart from that the Baleno Alpha also sports SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, push-button start; leather wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps, keyless entry and alloy wheels.
The Maruti Baleno Alpha automatic draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 83bhp and 115Nm of torque. The petrol engine is claimed to deliver a mileage of 21.4km/l.
Maruti Suzuki has sold 2 lakh units of Baleno till date. The automatic variants account for 11 percent in 2016-17. The automaker aims to retail 3 lakh automatic Baleno's by 2020.
