Spy Pics: Mahindra Scorpio Getaway Spotted Testing
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio Getaway has been spied testing single cab guise.
The next-generation Mahindra Scorpio Getaway pick up truck has been spied testing as the Indian automotive giant puts it through its paces as it gets it ready for launch.
The current Scorpio Getaway, which is sold as the Pik-Up abroad, is still based on the previous-generation Scorpio.
The spy images caught by one of DriveSpark's roving spy photographers shows off the changes we can expect with the new model when it finally launches in India.
The front end of the new Scorpio Getaway is where most of the changes can be seen. Gone are the dowdy looks of the current pickup truck, in their place, is the front end of the current Scorpio which gives the Getaway a more muscular look. However, the rear end of the Getaway will remain unchanged.
The front-end isn't the only part of the regular Scorpio that the Getaway borrows. The new Getaway sits on the Scorpio's hydroformed chassis and borrows the SUVs BS-IV compliant 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 120bhp and 280Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel-drive version is expected to be made available as well.
