Land Rover India Slashes Prices of Evoque And Discovery Sport — The Wrangler Effect?
Land Rover India slashes prices of petrol variants of the Evoque and Discovery Sport. The move seems to be a direct response to the new Jeep Wrangler petrol.
Land Rover India has slashed the prices of the petrol powered Range Rover Evoque and the Discovery Sport SUVs by up to Rs 7 lakh. The move is seen to be a direct response to the launch of the petrol variant of the Jeep Wrangler.
According to RushLane, Land Rover has slashed the price of the Evoque SE Petrol in India by Rs 2 Lakh and the Range Rover Evoque SUV now retails at Rs. 51.2 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The petrol-powered Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE's price has been cut by Rs 7 lakh and now retails at Rs 49.5 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Evoque and the Discovery Sport are both powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 236bhp and 340Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed gearbox.
Both the Evoque and the Discovery Sport are also available in diesel guise in India and use a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine which produces either 148bhp or 187bhp.
