Lamborghini Urus To Be Globally Unveiled In December 2017
Lamborghini has stated that the production-ready Urus SUV will be globally unveiled in December 2017. Read now to know more about the SUV.
Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini recently launched the Huracan Performante, Aventador S and the Huracan RWD Spyder. Now the car maker is set to unveil its much-anticipated SUV, the Urus.
According to a report from Overdrive, Lamborghini will unveil the production-ready Urus SUV on December 4, 2017, in Sant'Agata, Italy. The SUV will also be showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
To accommodate the manufacturing of the Urus SUV, Lamborghini is set to expand its production facility by 1.5 lakh square metres.
The deliveries of the Urus is expected to commence in 2018. The latest SUV from Lamborghini is based on the same platform of Bentley Bentayga and the Audi Q7.
The Lamborghini Urus draws power from a 4-litre V8 engine pumping out 591bhp and 800Nm of torque. Urus may be the first product to use a turbocharged unit instead of a naturally aspirated engine. The reason behind this is to achieve greater low-end torque.
The Urus SUV will also feature a 48V electric compressor for active anti-roll suspension. The system adjusts the stiffness level to reduce body roll during high-speed cornering.
Previously, Lamborghini has already stated that the Urus will be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. And the company has no plans to produce a fully electric variant of the SUV.
