Lamborghini Opens A New Acoustic Test Room — Wonder What The Purpose Is
Lamborghini has built an acoustic room in its facility to test exhaust notes of upcoming vehicles.
We are now in an era when naturally aspirated V10s and V12s are as endangered as some wildlife. Forced induction is taking over, helping cars perform better, but killing the exhaust growls of cars.
Lamborghini is the latest manufacturer to introduce turbocharging to its engines, and the Urus SUV will be the first.
This leaves a lot of enthusiasts worried since the Iconic Italian carmaker could lose the trademark exhaust note. Taking note of the issue, Lamborghini has assured fans that it will do its best to retain its performance note.
Lamborghini has expanded its production facility in Italy, making room to manufacture the Urus SUV, and along with that, has built an ‘acoustic room'.
According to Lamborghini, "Has been realised according to the latest technical standards, allows adjustments of particular sound sensations to create the typical Lamborghini driving experience, involving all the senses."
The testing room also "supports the acoustic adjustment of lightweight construction components," as per the carmaker. That said, Lamborghini fans can now worry less about future cars.
