Jehan Daruvala Clinches F3 Podium In Hungary
Indian driver Jehan Daruvala clinched his second F3 podium of the season in Hungary.
Sahara Force India Academy racer Jehan Daruvala clinched his second F3 podium of the season at the Hungaroring Formula 1 Circuit in Mogyoród, Hungary.
In the round four of the FIA F3 European Championship, Jehan qualified fourth for Race 1. As a driver was penalised, Jehan started third on the grid. He had his moments in the race but managed to finish third.
Jehan said, “I am happy to have made it onto the podium again here. Towards the halfway point, I was given a warning for track limit infringements, so I was a little bit more cautious after that. I didn’t want to risk a penalty.”
Jehan’s pace was slowed down due to the crosswinds, and he qualified in ninth and tenth position in Race 2 and 3 respectively. He moved up a place in each race to finish eighth and ninth.
Jehan’s impressive performance in the three races propels him to the sixth position in the overall points table. He is in second place in the Rookie standing with 212 points.
