Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Revealed — Fastest Production Series SUV?
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.62 seconds, powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged Hellcat V8 and comes mated to an upgraded 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Jeep has unveiled the supercar of SUVs. The American off-road brand has officially revealed its Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ahead of its public debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.62 seconds, powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged Hellcat V8 and comes mated to an upgraded 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Contrary to the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats, the Trackhawk sends its power to all four wheels. Its all-wheel-drive system's (AWD) power inclination changes depending on the drive mode selected-40/60 front/rear is for normal driving, 30/70 for sportier driving, and 50/50 in the winter drive mode.
Also, there is the Custom mode so you can dial this beast to your desire and a Valet mode to keep the parking-lot attendant from taking a high powered joyride. There is also the launch control.
The Trackhawk wears the 295 tires on each corner and has massive 15.75-inch Brembo brakes on the front and 13.73-inch in the rear. With this help, the performance SUV stops in 114 feet.
As for the interiors, the revised cockpit is now more driver-focused, with the tachometer is now placed at the centre of the instrument console.
There is a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard that features Trackhawk-exclusive pages for observing performance metrics.
The cabin also receives Nappa leather seats as standard; however, as an optional package, you can choose a Signature Leather Interior Package which covers the whole cabin in Black or Dark Ruby Red.
