Jeep Compass Teased Ahead Of India Launch
Jeep Compass to be launched in India on April 12, 2017. India-spec Jeep Compass has been teased in a video ahead of launch.
Jeep is all set to launch its Compass SUV in India, and ahead of its official launch, the company has teased the SUV in a video.
Jeep will assemble the Compass SUV in India at the Ranjangaon plant in Pune. The India-spec Compass SUV is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel versions. The SUV has been spotted testing in India on several occasions, and the teaser video provides insight into the India-spec model.
The Jeep Compass shares the same platform that underpins the Renegade SUV and India will be the production centre for all right-hand-drive versions of the Compass SUV. The new Compass which be the first Jeep to be locally manufactured in India.

The Jeep Compass features Xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, automatic headlights and wipers, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.
On the inside, the new SUV from Jeep features 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity along with dual zone climate control among others.
As for the powertrain, the Jeep Compass, as mentioned above will be available in both petrol and diesel versions. While the petrol unit is said to be powered by the 1.4-litre 140bhp engine, the diesel model will be powered by a 2.0-litre producing 170bhp. Both the motors are expected to be paired to an automatic gearbox.
Jeep is expected to price the Compass in the range of Rs 16 lakh to Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). Stay tuned to DriveSpark as we cover the launch of the Jeep Compass on April 12, 2017.
