Isuzu has launched its new SUV, the MU-X in India. The SUV is offered in 4x2 and 4X4 variants. The prices for the SUV start at Rs 23.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Isuzu India has launched the MU-X SUV in India. Prices for the new Isuzu MU-X start at Rs 23.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Isuzu MU-X is available in two variants, 4x2 and 4x4. The four-wheel-drive variant of the MU-X is priced at Rs 25.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The newly launched SUV borrows its design cues from the D-Max V-Cross pickup truck.
The front end of the MU-X is rugged and flared front, and rear fenders give the SUV a butch look. The exterior features double slat chrome grille, LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and roof rails.
The Isuzu MU-X is powered by a 3-litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 177bhp and 380Nm of torque. The oil burner is coupled to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The 4x4 variant also gets shift-on-the-fly operation for the four-wheel-drive system.
The shift-on-the-fly allows selecting two-high, four-high and four-low ranges. The MU-X is also equipped with uphill and downhill control. Isuzu claims that the 4x2 variant of the SUV can deliver a mileage of 13.8km/l.
The interior of the MU-X is also based on the D-Max V-Cross. The interior features 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, roof-mounted 10-inch monitor, cruise control and automatic climate control.
The safety features on the MU-X include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, traction control and rear parking camera. The SUV is offered in four colour schemes - Silky White, Orchid Brown, Cosmic Black and Titanium Silver.
Isuzu recently introduced the facelifted MU-X in the international market. The model launched in India is the pre-facelifted version. The MU-X will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in India.
