New BMW 5 Series Will Ensure That Parking Blues Are A Thing Of The Past
For the convenience of the customer, BMW is going to equip its all-new 5-series with the remote parking sensor.
BMW is not leaving behind any of the latest technical upgrades in their upcoming cars. The German auto giant is set to reveal a plethora of technology with the all-new 5-series which is launching this year.
The new 5-series will be base on the same platform as the 7-series, resulting, the car will inherit the family looks with BMW's top-end sedan. Moreover, the 5 share a lot of technical cues from its elder sibling.
One of the key features that the car is going to get is the - car's remote parking function. Now, this feature will allow a person to remote-pilot the car in and out of parking spaces.The best part, you don't actually need to be sitting inside the car.
For using this auto parking feature, a person needs to start the car from the touchscreen-equipped smart key. The first step involves establishing a connection between the car and the key. After that, you hit the ignition button on your phone and the car starts to more when someone swipes the finger up on the mobile.
The car will locate the position of your phone and then magically appear in front of you, without you going to the car. The 360-degree cameras will help locate any obstacle and will halt the car if needed.
However, for our country, the new 5-seris is expected to get some India-specific bits such as - a modified boot to house a space saver spare tyre.
Some of the other features that the all-new 5-series are expected to be offered with - BMW's gesture control technology for the infotainment system, along with touch controls for systems such as the climate control.
The new 5-series is expected to launch in India sometime in the second half of 2016. The car will be priced between the INR 55 to 65 lakh mark. Stay tuned for more information.
