Hyundai Sonata And Elantra GT Are The Finalists Of 2017 IDEA

South Korean automaker Hyundai's Sonata and Elantra GT are named as the finalists for the 2017 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).

The two Hyundai models were recognised by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) for their stunning looks and bold design. IDEA highlights outstanding and unique design in a wide range of categories such as transportation sporting goods and much more.

The Sonata features Hyundai's evolving design language. The new front grille and the sculpted bonnet adds to the sporty appeal of the car. The side profile also features more dynamic design. The interior also has a more visually striking appearance.

The Elantra GT has a bold design with its new cascading front grille. The car features excellent visibility and comfort and the interior is neat and gets the horizontal layout.

Head of Hyundai Styling, Sangyup Lee said, "We are building a variety of charismatic characters for each segment to make Hyundai Motor to be the most loved brand in the automotive industry."

IDEA is an international design competition, which recognises and promotes design excellence across a wide variety of industries and disciplines. It is annually conducted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
