Hyundai Motor India Records 17.2 Percent Growth In January 2017
Hyundai Motor India has recorded a positive growth of 17.2 percent in the overall sales for the month of January 2017.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country's leading car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter registered a growth of 17.2 percent in the month of January 2017.
Hyundai sold 42,017 units in the domestic market in January 2017 as compared to the 38,016 units for the same period in 2016. The domestic growth stood at 10.5 percent.
Hyundai exported 9,817 vehicles in January 2017 against the 6,214 units in January 2016. The export figures also witnessed a positive growth of 58 percent.
Coming to the overall sales, Hyundai India managed to sell 51,834 vehicles compared to the 44,230 units in January 2016. The Korean car maker's first month of 2017 has been a fruitful one, with an overall growth of 17.2 percent.
Commenting on the sales performance, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, HMIL, Rakesh Srivastava said, "Year 2017 looks promising with entire industry optimistically looking forward for a positive growth."
He added, "Hyundai has shown all model growth of 17.2% on account of good performance by super performer brands Grand i10, Elite i20, Creta and without any new mass model launches."
