Hyundai Grand i10 Sales Crosses 1 Lakh Units In Ongoing FY17
In the ongoing fiscal year, Hyundai Grand i10’s average sales every month is nearly 11, 979 units.
Hyundai Motor, India's second largest automaker has sold over 1 lakh units of its entry-level hatchback, the Grand i10 in the ongoing fiscal year 2017. During the 2016 April-December period, the company sold a total of 107,811 units, as against 97,805 units sold in the year-ago period.
Another important milestone achieved by the South Korean manufacturer in India in 2016, is 5 lakh domestic sales. Thus, registering a growth of 5.2 percent in the domestic market.
Hyundai sold more than 1.26 lakh units overall in the last financial year and the company also managed to maintain an overall market share of 20 percent in the segment.
Now, in the ongoing fiscal year, Hyundai Grand i10's average sales every month is nearly 11, 979 units. The hatchback also managed to increase its market share to 22 percent.
The manufacturer also exported 33,562 units of the Grand i10 in the April-November 2016 period. The Hyundai model is competing with the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Ford Figo hatchback in its segment.
Commenting on Hyundai's sales performance, Yk Koo, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, "2016 has been a Year of Excellence for Hyundai in India achieving various milestones - Celebrating 20 years in India, the roll out of 7 Millionth car in November 2016, crossing the 5 lakh domestic sales in CY 2016 and the fastest 50,000 unit sales in the month of October."
Hyundai is also set to launch the Grand i10 facelift in India next week. The facelifted model was unveiled globally in Paris in October 2016.
