Honda WR-V Garners 7,000 Bookings In A Very Short Period
Honda WR-V has recorded over 7,000 bookings since its launch. The company has already delivered 3,833 units in the first month.
Honda Cars India has recently launched the WR-V in the Indian market. The crossover has already garnered 7,000 bookings since its inception.
According to the company sources, in just 23 days, WR-V has recorded over 7,000 bookings in the country. Honda has already delivered 3,833 units of WR-V in the first month of its launch.
The WR-V is based on its hatchback sibling, the Jazz. Honda had previously launched the Mobilio and BR-V in India to tap the growing utility segment in India. It looks like Honda has finally hit the sweet spot with the WR-V.
CEO and President of Honda Cars India, Yoichiro Ueno in an interview with ETAuto, said, "Honda will do away with entry level variants across its models and will address the premium curve across the product portfolio."
The WR-V compact crossover draws power from a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 89bhp, and the oil burner churns out 99bhp. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas the diesel motor is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
The top-of-the-range Honda WR-V offers premium features such as a sunroof, cruise control and push-button start. But there is no CVT gearbox on offer. The company states that the 5-speed manual transmission is newly developed to improve performance.
