Honda City Prices Reduced After GST
Honda has passed on the GST benefits to customers which have resulted in the price drop of its best-selling vehicle City sedan.
Honda Cars India has revealed its prices after-Goods and Service Tax (GST) of its entire product lineup passing on the benefits to customers. The GST has resulted in Honda dropping prices of its vehicles in the range between Rs 10,000 and Rs 1.31 lakh depending on the model.
With the GST effective from July 1, 2017, prices of the Honda City, its best-selling vehicle in India, is now cheaper. However, the carmaker did not announce price revision of the Honda Accord.
Under the new GST, taxes on automobiles has been fixed at 28 percent with additional cess on different body styles and engine capacities.

Honda City is available in both petrol and diesel versions. While the petrol City is powered by a 1.5-litre unit capable of producing 117.6bhp and 145Nm of torque, the diesel is powered by a 1.5-litre engine developing 98bhp and 200Nm of torque.
The petrol model comes mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or CVT, while the diesel model comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Honda City is more affordable, thanks to the new GST which reduced the prices of the best-selling sedan in India. Honda Cars India has passed on the benefits to customers and this is the right time to purchase the Honda City.
